On vacation from northern illinois. Broke down in Osprey today. They used their prefered towing company and worked on it right away. We were back on the road within 3 hours of breaking down. They were professional, fast and the rates were reasonable. I chose them because they had a 5 star review and they did not disappoint. Great job!

In all of my years and travels I've met all kinds of people and been to all kinds of mechanics. This place is above and beyond the best of the best. The people there are HONEST and GOOD people. They are car EXPERTS. And they are more than fair. My family and I are hard to impress and suspicious of all but through the many years and ups and downs of this economy no one at this company has ever once taken advantage of us, they've always helped us out when we needed it and have gone above and beyond to do the right thing. If you believe in Heaven, I'm positive the owner and Pat will be there one day too. They honestly are amazing people in every sense of the word.

I understand how Bob and Pat works now. They never ask me to fix things I don’t need. He never overcharge. That’s why he never asked for “approval to do the work. I will be foolish to go any other shop in town. For example my air-conditioner is broken. All it was just a clutch relay. Any other shop in town would’ve tell me to put new Freon in or something to charge money on about air compressor. Ashton auto helped me out big time in multiple occasions and is most trust worthy auto store in town. They’ve been in business for over 37 years!

There the best, I have a 2003 Dodge Caravan that we decommissioned when we bought a 2014 Focus. The minivan needs some TLC and has been sitting in the driveway, waiting. Finally got around to calling Ashton Auto today to try to get something schedule. I live in Manatee County, but after the excellent, honest service I received in the past for my 2006 Escape, I would not consider taking this van anywhere else. The van is part of the family, with many road trips and family vacations under its belt, I am looking forward to getting her cleaned up and serviced at Ashton.

I've lived in sarasota/manatee counties for 25 years. It's not easy to find good mechanics. This shop has good ratings so I tried it. So far I've done three visits, two different cars in the last 6 months. They are honest people, very reasonable fees, accurate diagnosis & timely work. Large parking spaces, convenient for dropping off towed cars.

My AC blower fuse had gone out on me and they fixed it real fast, I was there for less than 30 min and the problem was fixed completely and at a perfectly reasonable price. There's always a stigma taking your car to the mechanics. Weary that they will try to sell u things u don't need, or they don't know what they are doing. Ashton Automotive is none of that they are helpful and knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. I won't take my car anywhere else from now on.

It was a very refreshing experience, my vehicle was making a noise coming from the front end it is a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. I took it to the Nissan dealer in Venice Florida and they told me I needed brakes and rotors at a cost of $850. So I thought I should get a second opinion and I took it to Ashton Auto who came recommended.they came out and told me I didn't need brakes it was just my dust shield was bent and rubbing in the brakes were just fine. It's so refreshing to see honesty in that business, guess what Nissan dealership I'll never visit again 🤭

While traveling to Sarasota for a funeral I had a major issue with my van. I was only in town for the funeral, which was 11 hours from my home and I was leaving the next day. They were able to get it in, check it out, get the parts, and repair it in one day. I was on the road and back home on time. The man who helped me was very kind and helpful. Went to another mechanic only bc it was a friend's relative. Correct diagnosis on my 97 toyota celica conv..but took 2 weeks and would have cost me a big bundle.....towed it to Bob and in a week, part came in, saved me $1000. ...yes, for real. A lifelong customer I will be for sure. Thank you Bob!
